2026 SEASON ARCHIVE | Game played August 27, 2026 | Retrospective recap compiled October 25, 2026. Record immediately after this game: 1-1.

Vista del Lago’s August 27 game against Hillcrest brought the Ravens their first setback, 34–20, but also showed the depth of a running game capable of sharing the load. Three ball carriers helped produce 207 rushing yards as Vista del Lago moved to 1–1.

Mikya Adams led that group with 88 yards on 15 carries and added 19 receiving yards. Kameran Shelby contributed 73 rushing yards on 10 attempts. Quarterback Josiah Dupree-Boyd supplied another 46 yards and two touchdowns on the ground, giving the offense several ways to move the football.

Dupree-Boyd also threw for 116 yards and a touchdown. Adrian Bravo Rodriguez caught six passes for 57 yards, while Dwayne Preston turned his catch into a 40-yard score. Those contributions gave the Ravens production beyond a single featured player.

The defense recorded 10 tackles for loss. Brandon Price finished with nine tackles, and Alijah Shivers added seven, including three behind the line. Matthew Lopez recorded a sack. Up front on offense, the published box score credited Moses Rogers with three pancakes and Nathan Giron with one.

The loss belonged in the record, and so did the useful building blocks: a productive rushing rotation, backfield disruption and receivers making plays. For coach Mike Tuohy’s team, this was an early-season test with specific strengths to carry into the next week.
