2026 SEASON ARCHIVE | Game played September 17, 2026 | Retrospective recap compiled October 25, 2026. Record immediately after this game: 3-2.

Canyon Springs reached 3–2 with a 49–0 victory over West Valley on September 17. The Cougars paired a three-touchdown rushing performance from Jaxon Taylor with a defense that completed a shutout and recorded five sacks.

Jaxon Taylor rushed for 91 yards and three touchdowns. Angel Robles threw for 85 yards and a score, and Nathon Martinez added an eight-yard touchdown pass. The quarterback contributions gave Canyon Springs production from more than one player at the position.

Donte “DJ” Todd caught two passes for 75 yards and a touchdown. Keyon’Tay Edwards added an eight-yard touchdown reception. Those plays supported the ground attack and gave the Cougars multiple ways to finish possessions with points.

The defensive front helped define the game. Isaac Garcia recorded two sacks, Joseph Turner added one and Jayden Giddings had one as part of the team’s five-sack total. Dominic Castro finished with five tackles. Holding West Valley scoreless made the defensive performance a shared achievement across the unit.

Jason Reynoso received two pancake credits in the offensive line report. The final score reflected contributions from blockers, runners, receivers and defenders, rather than a single standout alone. For Canyon Springs, the win moved the record back above .500 and supplied a strong performance to carry into the next phase of its schedule.
