Moreno Valley’s October 16 game against JW North ended in a 28–7 defeat, leaving the Vikings at 4–4. Oscar De La Torre’s work in the defensive front and contributions from several offensive players stood out in the published game report.
De La Torre finished with seven tackles, three tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks. It was a substantial pass-rushing contribution and a reminder of the impact that defensive linemen and edge players can make even when the team result is disappointing. Bryan Orozco added a half-sack, and Willie Logotala recorded eight tackles.
Noah Russell produced 42 rushing yards and 27 receiving yards. Johnny Robinson supplied 21 yards and a touchdown on the ground, plus 36 receiving yards. Their ability to contribute as both runners and receivers gave Moreno Valley several sources of offense.
Jaron Hill caught five passes for 32 yards, while Ricky Jaramillo added six for 30 and rushed for 19 more. Jaramillo also received two tackles-for-loss credits, adding a defensive contribution to his offensive work.
The Vikings totaled 286 offensive yards but finished with seven points, making the gap between moving the ball and scoring an important part of the game’s story. At 4–4, Moreno Valley had a chance to respond in its remaining schedule. The individual efforts against JW North gave the program players and performances to recognize as it worked toward that response.
