2026 SEASON ARCHIVE | Game played August 27, 2026 | Retrospective recap compiled October 25, 2026. Record immediately after this game: 2-0.

Moreno Valley followed its season-opening victory with a complete result on August 27, beating Arroyo Valley 45–0 to move to 2–0. A productive running game, multiple scoring contributors and a shutout gave the Vikings plenty to celebrate.

Jahsiah Sio led the offense with 185 rushing yards and two touchdowns. He added 38 receiving yards and 23 on kick returns, finishing with 246 all-purpose yards. His ability to contribute in several phases gave Moreno Valley more than a strong rushing line.

Ricky Jaramillo scored three touchdowns: one rushing and two receiving. He totaled 25 rushing yards and four receptions for 22 yards. William Davis threw for 100 yards and two touchdowns, while Noah Russell added an 18-yard rushing touchdown. The scoring distribution reflected an offense finding opportunities for several players.

The defensive effort deserves equal recognition. Daniel Jackson led the published tackle report with seven, while Cael Cryer and Willie Logotala each recorded six. The final score supplied the most important team measure: Arroyo Valley never scored.

Special teams added a notable highlight. Jovany Espinoza made all six reported extra-point attempts and a field goal listed at 52 yards in the game statistics. With the line opening space, the defense finishing a shutout and the kicking game contributing, coach Ben Benitez’s Vikings had a strong second chapter to their season.
