Moreno Valley delivered a strong response on October 23, defeating Perris 51–8 to move to 5–4 overall and 2–2 in the Sunbelt League. One week after a loss to JW North, the Vikings returned to a winning record with their highest point total of the season.

The 43-point margin made the result a significant team achievement. Moreno Valley has now scored 232 points through nine games, and the Perris victory joined earlier wins over Eisenhower, Arroyo Valley, Tahquitz and Valley View. The season has included difficult stretches, but the latest result gave coach Ben Benitez’s team a clear response to celebrate.

The confirmed final score is current. Individual statistics from the Perris game have not yet been added to the public team report, which was last updated October 18. The player accomplishments below are the latest published season figures; they are not individual statistics from the 51–8 win.

Jahsiah Sio leads the posted rushing production with 866 yards and seven touchdowns in eight reported games. His receiving and return contributions bring him to 999 all-purpose yards in that report. The published total is one yard short of 1,000, making it an important milestone to watch when the next statistics arrive. The available report does not yet confirm that he has crossed it.

William Davis has 593 passing yards and nine passing touchdowns in seven reported appearances. Jaron Hill has 28 receptions for 305 yards and two scores. Their contributions are part of an offense that has found different ways to produce across the season, from its strong opening stretch to the latest 51-point result.

Oscar De La Torre’s defensive production deserves its own recognition. His latest reported totals include 38 tackles, 13 tackles for loss and 7.5 sacks in seven appearances. Against JW North, he recorded 2.5 sacks and three tackles for loss, showing that meaningful individual work continued even in a difficult team result.

Other weeks have brought notable performances from Ricky Jaramillo, Noah Russell, Cashawn Neal, Willie Logotala and Chanell Siaosi. Jaramillo scored three touchdowns against Arroyo Valley; Siaosi recorded 14 tackles against Rancho Verde. Recognizing those efforts gives the season a fuller picture than any one final score can provide.

Moreno Valley’s next listed opponent is Paloma Valley. The Vikings enter that matchup with a fifth victory secured and a decisive response behind them. As the Perris player report becomes available, it can add individual detail to a result the whole school already has reason to celebrate.
